Ubisoft has officially confirmed for the first time that the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag remake is real and will be called ‘Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced’.
The news came as part of a new blog post on the Assassin’s Creed franchise, in which Jean Guesdon, Head of Content, discussed the franchise’s progress.
First and foremost, it was confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is real, in line with past reports by Insider Gaming. The blog says that people should “keep your spyglass on the horizon”.
According to sources, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is scheduled to be revealed in mid-April, if things stay on track.
Other Assassin’s Creed Games Are in Development
The blog also confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Jade, the mobile game in partnership with Tencent, is still in development.
Assassin’s Creed Invictus, a new multiplayer title, is also still in development, but it’s said that the project “isn’t quite what the rumors have suggested.
Assassin’s Creed Hexe has also mentioned, saying, “We are taking the time to deliver on its ambitious vision, which means we’ll be quiet for a little longer, but we love seeing all the enthusiasm happening on our channels and can’t wait to unveil more when the time is right.”
Insider Gaming understands that Assassin’s Creed Hexe is one of Ubisoft’s most-anticipated titles internally, with almost everyone familiar with the project wishing they were working on it, be that because the game sounds cool or because it’s a project with seemingly the most job security.

While Ubisoft isn’t Bethesda, I have little faith the remake would be satisfying.
