ARC Raiders producer Aleksander Grøndal says a PvE split is very possible. Embark Studios will test pure PvE from October 13 to October 20, 2026.

Will ARC Raiders Get a Separate PvE Mode? Dev Responds

In an interview with GamesRadar+, ARC Raiders producer Aleksander Grøndal discussed how pure PvE could affect tension, the economy, and the player base ahead of Embark’s limited October test. He says the game being split in two in some ways is very possible.
“I mean, the community is already split along those lines,” he said. “If the game eventually will represent that? Quite possibly. I think it’s important to respect how the players want to enjoy the game, even if it doesn’t necessarily fully gel with what we thought the game was initially or how we designed the game to be initially. It’s possible. Of course, it creates some challenges on our end. We need to figure out what we really mean by that.”
Speaking specifically about the risks of splitting the player base, Grøndal’s concerns are valid, which is why they’re running a test. Still, they will use the data collected and player feedback to plan the best path forward for the game.
“Which is one of the reasons why we wanted to run a test which is somewhat limited around some of the higher-end stuff. It will affect, or it has a chance of affecting, the overall experience.”
