Devon Pritchard Addresses GTA 6 on Nintendo Switch 2

In an interview with Variety, Nintendo of America president Devon Pritchard addresses GTA 6 on Switch 2 but makes no announcement, pointing to Take-Two and Rockstar.
“That’s going to be a conversation for Take-Two and Rockstar, but nothing to announce on my end at this time,” Pritchard says.
She also noted that the Nintendo brand has always been for all ages, and they are continuing to do their best to provide a diverse experience for all players on their latest hardware.
“We’re just at the beginning of seeing what Nintendo Switch 2 can do,” she said.
The GTA franchise has had a spotty history on Nintendo hardware. Grand Theft Auto games have appeared on Nintendo platforms five times. The first two Grand Theft Auto games received Game Boy Color ports.
Grand Theft Auto: Advance was an exclusive Nintendo Game Boy Advance release in 2004. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars was an original Nintendo DS game released in 2009. After a 13-year layoff, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition arrived on the original Nintendo Switch in 2022.
It collected games from the PlayStation 2 era. The trilogy included Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, all remastered and playable on the Nintendo Switch.
