Embark Studios will reveal an in-depth first look at ARC Raiders’ Frozen Trail update on September 23, ahead of its October 8 launch, teasing a massive new ARC enemy.
A short teaser trailer released on September 18 said more news would follow the following Wednesday.
When is the ARC Raiders Frozen Trail First Look Trailer?
Embark will premiere the full Frozen Trail trailer on September 23 at 10 a.m. PDT, 1 p.m. EDT, and 7 p.m. CEST.
In May of this year, ARC Raiders transitioned from a monthly update model to a new approach, instead aiming to deliver at least two major updates each year. Frozen Trail is the first major update since that shift. The new update promises a new map. That new map will hopefully deliver a greater sense of verticality and new opportunities for discovery.
In other recent news about ARC Raiders, an update shared by an executive behind the game notes that they may be doing away with Expeditions altogether. Further details may be shared at this upcoming first look at the next expansion.
“Maybe we’ll scrap the whole system altogether. That is on the table, too. Right now, the team is trying to figure out what the next steps for Expeditions are,” ARC Raiders’ executive producer Aleksander Grøndal stated in a recent interview. For now, the fifth Expedition coming to ARC Raiders will be the last one until at least early 2027, if not forever.
