EA and Respawn have released the official trailer for the Apex Legends: Blood Pact Event, which will take place this Halloween.
The in-game event will run from Tuesday, October 13 until Tuesday, November 2.
The game’s battle royale map, Kings Canyon, will be shrouded in darkness and become much spookier with fog and supernatural forces.
Blood Pact also bring a Beasts vs Demons faction war to Wildcard and new Legend Skins for Sparrow and Alter
Everything New in Apex Legends Blood Pact Event
For the duration of the Blood Pact Event, the Haunted Kings Canyon map will be in play with haunted buildings, glowing Nessies, and spooky decorations like haunted Loot Bins and Pumpkin-skinned EVO orbs.
Additionally, fog will randomly descend upon the map to hide squads’ movements and reduce players’ sightlines.
To combat this, Apex Legends is bringing back Rev Shell Grenades, an automatic target-seeking throwable which will help find opponents lurking in the shadows.
Blood Pact will also refresh the Wildcard game mode with players pledging their allegiance to the Beasts or Demons factions.
Players who want to become Beasts will need to complete challenges to transform into a fast-moving monster that can hunt down squads with the following perks:
- Evasive Maneuvers: Bonus movement with melee out
- Fast Draw: Faster cells and weapon switching
- Critical Roll: Grants temporary critical hits on reload
Meanwhile, siding with the Demons will help players become tanky powerhouses that can shrug off damage with the following perks:Â
- Speedy Charge: Tactical and Ultimate charge faster
- Shields Up: Epic Level shields
- Super Cells: Cells regenerate all shield health
The Blood Pact Event will also update the in-game shop with the Blood Pact Store.
There, Apex Legends players will find 80’s werewolf-themed Legend Skin and Character Select Animation for Sparrow and a demonic Legend skin for Alter as well as a new R-99 Weapon Skin.
There will also be new Beast and Demon Legend Retheme Bundles, and other spooky cosmetics released with the update.
