The playoff bracket for BLAST Open Rotterdam has been set following the conclusion of a Group Stage that gave Counter-Strike fans plenty to think about.
Not least a remarkable 1v5 that saw Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut dismantle Parivision’s attempt to break Vitality’s map-win streak, which now sits at 17.
BLAST Open Rotterdam Playoffs take place from March 27-29 at the 16,000-capacity Rotterdam Ahoy Arena.
BLAST Open Rotterdam groups conclude
Monday saw NAVI and Vitality advance directly to the semi-finals, with Aurora and Parivision having to settle for quarter-finals. Falcons and The MongolZ took the final two spots available with Lower Bracket victories.
For Spirit and FURIA, it was a brutal elimination that exposed many of their existing issues, resulting in Danil ‘donk’ Kryshkovets leaving the competition despite recording a 1.61 HLTV rating across the event.
Spirit’s exit has already raised questions about the decision to bench Leonid ‘chopper’ Vishnyakov and install Boris ‘magixx’ Vorobiev as a first-time IGL.
Spirit and FURIA’s eliminations come in addition to MOUZ and FaZe’s earlier exits, further painting the picture that the chasing pack are getting further away from Vitality, not closer.

BLAST Open Rotterdam Playoffs preview
There’s no getting around Vitality’s preeminence in 2026’s Counter-Strike scene. The roster looks leaps and bounds ahead of the competition, both in terms of gameplay and confidence.
In the latter regard, NAVI can finally say that they have the latter, as their ESL Pro League victory led to a clean run to the semi-finals at BLAST, which included strong victories over Falcons and Aurora.
While the roster still has a long way to go in terms of creating a reliable map pool, Drin ‘makazze’ Shaqiri has given them a true star to build around and a basis to compete.
Before we get to NAVI and Vitality, we have the quarter-finals. Aurora and The MongolZ clash of national teams is always a fascinating affair, no more so than at BLAST where an improving MongolZ meet a consistent Aurora.
The MongolZ still lack their coach, Erdenedalai ‘maaRaa’ Bayanbat, but showed in their comeback win against Spirit that they can still make adjustments in the server, something which was questionable at Pro League.
New face, Anarbileg ‘cobrazera’ Uuganbayar, delivered in spades so far at BLAST, showing once again that Mongolia’s talent pipeline is unbelievably robust.
For Parivision and Falcons, it is the ultimate battle between high ceiling and high floor.
Parivision’s Counter-Strike may be the most mathematically perfect in Tier 1, but the star power of Falcons can overcome it providing they can tighten up the mistakes which saw them exit Cluj-Napoca to Parivision in February.
Falcons’ interviews at this event, including Insider Gaming’s interview with René ‘TeSeS’ Madsen, have stressed that the team is focusing more on team play over individual level. The Parivision series will be the ultimate test of whether that bears fruit.
