You might be using a variety of guns in your moment-to-moment gameplay in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta, but it’s the various pieces of Equipment and Field Upgrades that can decide whether you live to fight another day.
That said, you won’t have access to them all from the moment you load into the beta. Instead, you’ll have to unlock them all through gameplay, and judging by some of the later options, you’ll want to add them to your arsenal as soon as possible.
With that in mind, here’s how to unlock every piece of Tactical and Lethal Equipment, as well as all Field Upgrades, in the Modern Warfare 4 beta.
All MW4 Beta Tactical Equipment & Unlock Requirements
There are nine pieces of Tactical Equipment to unlock during the Modern Warfare 4 beta.
Of course, you’ll find the trusty Flash and Smoke Grenades unlocked from the get-go, giving you something to use the moment you load into the beta. However, the likes of Decoys and Heartbeat Sensors take a bit of work to unlock.

You won’t be shocked to see that the Frag Grenade and Semtex are available straight away, but there’s solid variety further down the line. From traps like Trip Wires to the fan-favorite Throwing Knife, there’s more than enough to grind for.

Field Upgrades can define your playstyle, with some lending themselves towards some very specific tactics. Use a Recon Drone to scout ahead, or a Trophy System to bunker down and set up shop.
