All Modifiers For Escape from Tarkov Season One Explained—Kord Breach Update

Battlestate Games has unveiled the full list of modifiers for Kord Breach, the upcoming first ‘season’ of Escape from Tarkov, but context is missing. The full list includes the positive, negative, and hardcore modifiers that players will be able to select from when the first season drops this month.

Below, I’ve outlined the full list of modifiers coming with Kord Breach and what they mean. Fans are excited as this represents an all-new way to experience Escape from Tarkov, the most iconic extraction shooter ever made.

All Kord Breach Modifiers, Explained

Here’s the full list of modifiers confirmed for Kord Breach, Escape from Tarkov’s first season, and what they mean:

Global Modifiers

  • No Insurance – Very self-explanatory; players will not be able to insure any items for the entire season
  • Black Division – Black Division fighters can be encountered in specific locations
  • Seasoned PMCs – Your character gets 25% more experience from raids
  • Armor Shortage – Traders have fewer armor-based items
  • No FiR for Hideout – Your in-game Hideout will be upgradeable using any items, not just FiR items
  • Handyman – Crafting time reduced by 50%, and crafting skill starts at level 51

Positive Modifiers

  • Marathon Runner – Arm and leg stamina consumed 15% slower
  • Juice Time – Drinking juice has a painkiller effect
  • Diet – All provisions consume 50% fewer resources
  • Thrombophilia – Resistant to bleeding with a 25% decreased chance
  • Safecracker – Mechanical keys have a 20% chance to lose no durability when used
  • Street Tax – Once a week, Scavs pay you money
  • Hercules – Strength and endurance skills start at level 15
  • Hypodipsia – Hydration is consumed 15% slower
  • Bushborne – Movement sound nullified by 50% in foliage, and slowdown also reduced
  • The Tarkov Shooter – Bolt-action rifles skill levelling increased by 100%, and the skill starts at level 10
  • Sprinter – Running speed increased by 5%
  • Polyphagia – Energy consumed 15% slower
  • Sturdy Bones – Less fall damage and fracture chances decreased by 15%
  • Average – Immediately boosts skills when the season starts (all at level 25), but stops you from levelling them further
  • Kappa Protocol – Start the season with the Kappa container
  • Sailor’s Nostalgia – Consuming canned fish grants health regeneration for 10 seconds
  • Youth – Energy consumed 20% slower, and arm and leg stamina increased by 10

Negative Modifiers

  • Hemophilia – Bleeding effects are much worse, increased by 25%
  • Well That Hurt! – All medkit uses consume 25% more resources
  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome – Your energy levels diminish 15% faster
  • Allergic – You are allergic to random foods and medical items
  • Osteoporosis – Your bones are weaker, making you more susceptible to breaks (+15%), and falling from heights deals more damage (15%)
  • Incompetent – You can’t level up skills as fast (-25% speed), and skills max out at level 30
  • Personality Vacuum – Cannot increase charisma skill, and all trader items cost 20% more
  • Broken Secure Container – You can’t keep certain items (even more than usual) in your secure container
  • Exhaustion – Arm and leg stamina recovers 15% slower and is reduced by 10
  • Polydipsia – Hydration consumed 15% faster
  • Dr. Jekyll – After gaining fresh wound status, it remains for the rest of the raid
  • No Flea Market – You cannot use the in-game Flea Market for the season
  • Third Leg – Movement speed decreased by 1%, but buying items from Therapist is 5% cheaper
