Grow A Garden’s latest update has further expanded the pet feature, with Pet Mutations now available to grant huge boosts to your favorite pets.
Introduced in the July 12 update, Pet Mutations in Grow A Garden provide unique effects to pets on top of the passive bonuses they already grant, allowing you to have monstrous creations that make the best pets in the game even better.
For full details on the feature, the steps required, and all the Pet Mutations available, we’ve got it all in this guide.
How to Get Pet Mutations in Grow A Garden

Pet Mutations are only available when a pet has reached level 50, so make sure you keep them well fed so they’re earning XP and working toward that level.
Once you have a level 50 pet, interact with the Pet Mutations machine, marked by a purple sign, that is located next to the Pet Eggs and Gear Vendor—the opposite end of the map to the Seed Shop.
Placing a pet inside will reset its level to one, putting you back on the grind again, and, similarly to crafting and egg hatching, you’ll need to wait for around an hour for it to be completed.
If you’re on the grind to reach level 50, take advantage of items in the Gear Shop like the Levelup Lollipop, which raises a pet’s age by one level, along with Treats and Toys to boost XP.
You can stack Pet Mutations in Grow A Garden, too, so there’s no end to the bonuses you can earn.
