Grow A Garden’s constant growth has resulted in a regular slew of updates, and the latest, bringing the Prehistoric event, introduces the Old Amber Mutation.
The Prehistoric event is now live in Grow A Garden, introducing dinosaurs as pets and plenty more goodies to earn, but one of the most mysterious additions to the game is the Old Amber Mutation.
If you want life to find a way in your garden, here’s everything you need to know about the Old Amber Mutation in Grow A Garden.
How to Get the Old Amber Mutation in Grow A Garden

There are only one way of obtaining the Old Amber Mutation in Grow A Garden, and it requires some heavy investment to create a Mutation Spray Amber.
Using the Mutation Spray Amber on an item in adds the Amber Mutation, which can also be applied when harvesting with a Raptor equipped as a pet, but the latter approach does not allow for the Old Amber Mutation to take effect.
When the Amber Mutation is applied to a produce in your garden, wait several days for the Mutation to transform. Reports from the Grow A Garden community state it takes around 48 hours for Old Amber to take effect, with Ancient Amber taking even longer. At this stage, I haven’t been able to get Old Amber yet to confirm.
If you’re using Craft Mutation Spray to add the Amber Mutation to an item, it’s well worth waiting for Old Amber or Ancient Amber to take effect, as this significantly increases the price when selling. Given the expense of crafting, don’t waste it by selling too early.
