A reliable insider has claimed that a new Nintendo Direct is planned for next week and will be a general one.
The last Nintendo Direct took place in February 2026, which was a Partner Showcase. Players have been eagerly anticipating a new general event to discover more about all the upcoming games for their latest console. There are several rumored titles that fans are excited to hear about, as well as announced games that need release dates. All of this information could be revealed very soon.
Nintendo Direct Will Arrive in the Second Week of June, and it’s a General Direct
In the latest episode of his podcast, reliable insider Nate the Hate mentioned that he has heard the Nintendo Direct is expected to take place in the second week of June. When asked whether this refers to the week starting on June 8, Nate confirmed, saying “Yes,” suggesting that a Direct announcement is imminent.
This Direct could feature a variety of first-party and third-party announcements. Many fans are particularly curious about the release date for Duskbloods and the rumored Ocarina of Time remake. However, it’s important to note that these announcements are still speculative.
There are a lot of hopes and expectations from fans towards the upcoming Nintendo Direct, as the Switch 2 just doesn’t have enough games yet. Hopefully, there are some big surprises in store for players at this event. The last general Nintendo Direct was in September 2025, and as Nate pointed out, this upcoming Direct will kick off the Switch 2’s second year.
In other news, ARC Raiders has appeared online, being played on a Nintendo console, but not the one you’re probably thinking of.
