Hi there, like many of you probably reading this article, I was invited to play the Hell Let Loose: Vietnam playtest from Team17. However, my hopes were dashed after encountering different error screens and the same repeated messages, but there’s a good reason why this is happening.
The Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Beta sign-ups have been in effect for a few days. Expression Games is ready to reveal its shooter sequel with a fully fledged beta. Emails started going out on April 22, suggesting the beta is happening, and while it is soon, an inconvenient issue popped up.
Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Beta Invite Errors Plaguing Everyone

‘You have been invited to enlist.’ ‘Accept Invite.’ ‘Error verifying token 500 — Internal Server Error.’
These are all common messages sign-up hopefuls keep seeing—myself included. A community Manager for the Hell Let Loose Discord Server has addressed the issue and provided an update on the ongoing issue:
“Just a quick heads up regarding the email sent out from FirstLook.
Our initial sign-up process saw a phenomenal response, with a huge number of registrations. As a result, we’ve sent out a follow-up email with a link for players to complete full onboarding. To make sure you’re in the running for the first beta test, please ensure you complete the onboarding form on the FirstLook platform. This should be arriving in your inbox soon.
If you’re selected for the first beta test, you’ll receive another email with instructions on how to download the Steam build.
Due to the high volume of sign-ups, FirstLook is currently experiencing heavy traffic. They’re actively working to resolve this so everyone can complete onboarding as smoothly as possible.”
A second update also followed on the Discord:
“Due to the huge number of sign-ups, a follow-up email has been sent via FirstLook with a link inviting you to complete the onboarding. To stay in the running for the first beta test, make sure you complete the onboarding form once it arrives.
If selected, you’ll receive another email with Steam download instructions. FirstLook is also currently experiencing heavy traffic, but they’re working to resolve this ASAP.”
So, if you’re experiencing issues trying to accept the invite and play, this should answer your questions! Don’t worry, folks, it won’t be long until we’re face to face in the hot, tropical jungles of Vietnam.
