Forza Horizon 6, the next major title for Xbox, is seemingly already performing well on Steam, reportedly selling over 500,000 copies prior to its launch.
Playground Games’ next installment to the highly revered racing series arrives next month on May 19, 2026. To celebrate it’s launch, Xbox has already unvieled limited edition accessories, which includes a controller and headset. Now, we have been informed about it’s sales numbers on one of the platforms.
Forza Horizon 6 Pre-Launch Sales Reportedly Surpass 500,000 on Steam
According to a report by Alinea Analytics, Forza Horizon 6 has already crossed 500,000 copies sold on Steam, around a month ahead of its launch. The report adds that Forza Horizon 6 is close to reaching $30 million on Steam, with regional pricing and different editions of the game taken into account. The game has also seemingly become the “best-selling Forza title on Steam pre-launch,” with more than a month left for devs to drive further sales.
The report also points out all the factors that have helped Forza Horizon 6 sell so many copies on Steam. There were three factors that have appeared to have kicked off the sales, including the map reveal, driving gameplay and game previews appearing. The surge was further boosted by the developers’ reveal of the title’s achievement list. Playground Games and Xbox have yet to officially reveal the sales figures for Forza Horizon 6.
