Escape from Tarkov Survey Mentions Adding Prestige to PvE Platform

If there’s one thing many PvE-focused Escape from Tarkov players feel alienates them from the base game, it’s the lack of Prestige mechanics across the PvE platform. In December 2024, Battlestate Games introduced the Prestige system, but by today, it’s still only available for those playing PvP, and with each passing day, PvE becomes more popular.

The latest Escape from Tarkov survey, which has some brilliant rewards, talks about potentially adding Prestige to PvE, along with asking all manner of questions about the difficulty, nature, and rewards associated with Prestige in PvP.

Should Tarkov’s Prestige System Undergo Huge Changes?

Battlestate Games is probing the Escape from Tarkov player base about the Prestige system in Escape from Tarkov. As you can imagine, Prestige allows players to reset their profile when they hit a pre-determined bunch of requirements, going up a tier, securing permanent rewards, and starting all over again.

It’s an aspirational thing that comes with a slew of challenging tick boxes, and it’s still expanding, but it’s seen as one of the game’s ultimate challenges by the player base.

It’s not without issues, of course. One of the main problems with Prestige is that the mechanic doesn’t exist on the PvE platform, which is fast becoming more popular as it aligns closer with the traditional PvP-focused offering.

The stigma associated with being a PvE main is dissipating as it becomes more widely accepted.

That’s why PvE players perked up when they saw one of the questions in the most recent Escape from Tarkov survey, designed to probe users and get their thoughts about Prestige:

The other questions were around the difficulty of hitting a new Prestige tier, the value of the rewards that follow, and what should constitute a requirement for making it to the next Prestige level. There was also a question about how long it should take to climb the ladder, with the minimum investment being 100 hours.

It’s also worth noting that the rewards for completing this survey are tasty, giving players a relatively rare item, the UHF RFID reader. It’s not hugely valuable (around 65,000 on the Flea), but you’ll need one, alongside a VPX module, for Import, a quest that unlocks at level 35.

Here’s the full spread of rewards for this new Escape from Tarkov survey:

Do you think PvE players should be allowed to hit Prestige levels, just like those playing PvP? Let us know your thoughts on the debate on the Insider Gaming Discord server.
