SK Telecom CS T1 Co., Ltd’s fiscal reports show that T1 has turned a profit for the first time in its organizational history.
The six-time Worlds-winning organization reported its 2025 financial results after a year that saw it win its third back-to-back League of Legends Worlds trophy.
T1 turns a profit for the first time
T1’s finances show that the organization has turned an operating profit for the first time, recording an operating profit of $1.66 million USD (2.5 billion Korean Won). The figures resulted in a net profit of roughly $815,000, up from roughly $5.85 million in losses in 2024.
The news follows strong revenue growth, which saw the esports organization record an 80.8% increase in revenue in 2024, with the figure jumping from roughly $32.4 million to $58.6 million (₩49 Billion to ₩88.6 Billion).
T1’s merchandising sector recorded a year over year $119% growth in sales, amounting to $13.62 million in sales. Advertising and sponsorship also saw strong growth, rising by 55% to roughly $9.6 million in 2025.
Strong growth in and outside of Korea
As the LCK continues to grow international viewership, and Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok continues to grow his legend, T1’s financial records show that it is not just eyes that are being pulled towards the organization, but additional income for the storied org.
T1’s figures show strong growth inside and outside of Korea, with revenue growing by 89.7% year over year to approximately $34.2 million.
The strongest regional percentage growth came from the Americas, where revenue almost doubled to 15.6 million from 8.06 million in 2024. Europe and Asia’s regional revenue grew by 51.3% and 36.1%, respectively.
The strong revenue growth overcame growing operating costs, which rose by 25.5% in the period.
T1 prepare for 2026 Home Ground events
While associated with operational costs, League of Legends is planning to expand its Road Show initiative in 2026, with T1 hosting multiple Home Ground events.
T1’s rabid fanbase undoubtedly helped the organization drive revenue, allowing the org to host two ‘Home Ground’ Road Show events in 2026.
The events, at the Inspire Arena, Incheon, from April 24 to 26, and the KSPO Dome, Seoul, from August 14 to 16, will look to continue the success found in T1’s Home Ground event in 2025.
2025’s Home Ground saw 15,000 fans attend the Inspire Arena in Incheon over a three-day event, featuring the League of Legends team on two of the days and the Valorant roster on the middle day.
The event was highlighted by the organization as a revenue driver by T1 COO Josh Woongki Ahn, who stated to Korean publication Chosun Money that Home Ground generated between $1.4 million and $2 million in ticketing revenue.
