A new update for Resident Evil Requiem has just gone live, finally adding a photo mode along with several fixes and changes.
Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem has definitely made a huge mark since its release, selling 6 million copies, making it the fastest-selling game in the series. It has also become the best-selling game in February and for the 2026 calendar year. Now, through the latest update, devs have added a highly requested feature.
Resident Evil Requiem Gets Photo Mode, Fixes, and More
The latest update on the official Resident Evil X account (formerly Twitter) has announced that the Photo Mode patch for Requiem is now live. Fans of Leon and Grace will be particularly excited, as they can now capture images of these characters in all their glory while highlighting the game’s most terrifying elements. The mode has to be accessed through the pause menu.
Along with Photo mode, the latest patch includes bug fixes, localization fixes, character expression tweaks in certain scenes, and fixes for crashes and visual issues on some GPU drivers for PC players.
Talking about updates and features, when announcing the arrival of the photo mode, Resident Evil Requiem director also revealed that the game will soon receive new content and an expansion that will “delve deeper into the world of Requiem”. However, no release date was revealed.
In other news, a new claim states that Resident Evil Code Veronica remake is being directed by the same team that helmed the Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4 remakes. Additionally, Requiem’s game director has stated that Leon Kennedy’s spouse will be revealed someday.
