Activision has revealed details for Season 3 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, bringing new maps, modes, weapons, events, and more.
An announcement from a couple of days ago confirmed that Season 3 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone will arrive on April 2, 2026. As we wait for the new content update to arrive, the developers have detailed all the new additions for the upcoming season.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 3 Roadmap
The upcoming seasonal update will introduce loads of content for Black Ops 7 and Warzone, with Season 3 bringing nine new and returning multiplayer maps, new zombies content on day one, and a new Round-Based Zombies map at mid-season, new Operation across Endgame, a giant new POI for Verdansk, six new weapons, and more.
Black Ops 7 Endgame is Free-to-Play for a Limited time
With the arrival of the new update, players can access the Endgame mode for free. They will be able to choose one of the four JSOC Operators from Specter One. Endgame will also feature a new Operations mode, starting with “Poison Pill,” which will deploy players to Avalon.
Additionally, players can now utilize new summon attack drones that can convert enemies into allies through the new Warband Skill Track. The Aether Blade Ability will allow players to throw a ricocheting projectile. Later on, players will also receive the Thermal Spike Ability as a reward for completing a Weekly Challenge.
Black Ops 7 Season 3 Multiplayer Details: Maps, Game Modes, and More
Starting with the multiplayer maps for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 3, players will see the addition of new maps: Beacon and Abyss. They can also check out the Mission: Trident Skirmish map, as well as remasters of Plaza and Gridlock. Then, once we reach the mid-point of the season, players will receive the new Onsen Map, along with a remastered Summit map, Ascent for the Freerun mode (mentioned below) and the return of Hacienda.
Coming to game modes for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 3 multiplayer, players will see the debut of Demolition, along with the arrival of Aim High and Snipers Only shortly after. During mid-season, players will receive a mode called Freerun to test their parkour skills, along with temperature-based modes such as Heat Wave Havoc and Freeze Tag.
Coming to the new loadout additions, players can check out the brand new scorestreak, Ion Core, which allows players to fry their enemies and lock down areas. The scorestreak also deals radioactive damage in a radius that penetrates walls and can be upgraded with Plutonium Core or Chemical Catalyst Overclocks.

Black Ops 7 Season 3 Zombies Content Details: Ashwood Survival, New Round-Based Map, and More
Starting with the brand new map, Ashwood Survival, which features waves of Zombies across the central grounds of Ashes of the Damned, it can be played in Standard or Cursed modes. Then there’s the Directed Mode: Paradox Junction, which provides extra guidance through on-screen quest steps and a max round cap of 15 when taking on the Main Quest.
Then there’s another new mode called Zombies Battle, which features a free-for-all competitive mode where you have to outsurvive your friends while taking on waves of the undead. Then there’s the new round-based map, Totenreich, which arrives mid-season and takes players to “a remote Norwegian fishing town trapped in time after Group 935 experiments warped the entire island into the Dark Aether.”
Warzone Season 3 Content Details: Verdansk Update, Avalon Gulag, New Modes, Gameplay Features, and More
Coming to the Season 3 additions to Call of Duty’s popular battle royale title, Warzone, a massive new POI has been introduced in the Southern hills of Verdansk, Launch Pad. Avalon will be joining the big map rotation in Core Battle Royale, which will also bring multiple Gulags for the map.
Coming to game modes for season 3, to celebrate the arrival of the Launch Pad POI, the developers will release a new LTM called Launch Squad, where players are challenged to collect Launch Codes and survive until blast off. Game modes like Hot Pursuit, Prop Hunt Royale, and Iron Gauntlet will also be introduced in Season 3.
Moreover, Warzone Season 3 will see changes to the gameplay experience in the battle royale world. Firstly, players can use Wall Jumps and Grapple Hooks to improve their traversal in the Battle Royale and Resurgence modes. Additionally, players will see the arrival of the Flashpoint Public Event, a way to power up their operator with Spikes and Cluster Grenades.

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Season 3 New Weapons
Starting with the weapons, the start of Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Season 3 will see the arrival of the MK35 ISR Assault Rifle and the VST SMG through the battle pass. Events and Weekly challenges will let players earn the Strider 300 Sniper Rifle, 1911 Pistol, Siren Special Weapon, and the Katana Melee Weapon. There are some new attachments as well, including the VAS Convergence Foregrip, an Underbarrel Shotgun for the Shadow SK Sniper Rifle, a Spear Gun for the X9 Maverick Assault Rifle, and more.
