The Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy will soon be complete, and Naoki Hamaguchi, the trilogy’s director, speaks on what to expect from the game and when to expect it to hit store shelves.
During the recent interview with Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, he mentioned that the game is expected to be revealed this year, and it will hopefully be available not “too far in the future.”
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 Plans Include Fresh Gameplay
Naoki Hamaguchi further hinted that he wants new gameplay elements in this final game in the trilogy. He doesn’t want all the Final Fantasy 7 remakes to feel like the same game over and over. He didn’t say what the gameplay mechanics would be, but he did say that the team already has the foundation of the revamped gameplay in place.
“We want to make sure we’re expanding with every installment in terms of scale, as well as retaining that freshness as you go into each installment,” he said.
Both Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth are available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. They will also soon come to the Nintendo Switch 2. Insider Gaming will provide further information on the third game in the trilogy as soon as it is made available.
