Horizon Hunters Gathering Closed Playtest Will be Available on PS5 and PC
A recent post by Wario64 on X (formerly Twitter) has revealed that the Horizon Hunters Gathering closed playtest will take place from February 27 to March 1, 2026. Players can participate on either PC or PS5. The closed playtest will feature three characters: Sun, Rem, and Axle. Participants can choose from two game modes: Machine Incursion, which is a wave-based survival game, and Cauldron Desert, a multi-stage dungeon that presents ever-changing challenges.
The reveal trailer showcased various features of the game, including different hunter playstyles, combat mechanics, and game modes. Additionally, it was announced that the game will include a narrative campaign that guides players through new mysteries, characters, and threats, with the story being “fully canon.” Players will also have access to a social hub where they can relax, visit vendors, upgrade their gear, and team up with others.
In other news, the Horizon clone lawsuit has been settled between Tencent and Sony, with Light of Motiram delisted. Additionally, Horizon Steel Frontiers is another MMORPG from the franchise, coming to PC and mobile. Will you be participating in the Horizon Hunters Gathering closed playtest?
