A new announcement has arrived for Overwatch Rush, a new hero-shooter for mobile devices.
Overwatch appears to be experiencing a resurgence with the launch of Season 1. Fans of the game are already claiming that the title is making a comeback, and peak player counts are on the rise. It seems that Blizzard wants to capitalize on this newfound excitement by announcing a new entry for an additional platform.
Overwatch Rush is a Top-Down Hero-Shooter for Mobile
A new blog post by Blizzard Entertainment announces Overwatch Rush, a mobile game specifically designed for the platform. The developers have confirmed that the game is still in its early stages, and this is simply an update on its progress. The title is a top-down hero shooter set in the Overwatch universe, developed by Blizzard and separate from Team 4. Team 4 will continue to focus on the main title and provide new experiences for both PC and console players.
The developers have announced that this is an “entirely new game” and “not a port,” emphasizing that it has been created specifically for mobile players. The game is currently being tested in select countries and regions. Interested readers can join the official Discord for updates.
