Dino Crisis 1 & 2 Released on Steam With Big Launch Discount

Capcom has come up with a wonderful surprise for fans of the classics, dropping both Dino Crisis 1 & 2 on Steam with a massive launch discount.

Dino Crisis is a survival horror, action-adventure game developed by the Resident Evil teams at Capcom. The games were released in 1999 and 2000 for the original PlayStation, and now they are finally making it to Steam. Readers should note that these are not remakes; they are ports for modern systems.

Dino Crisis 1 & 2 Available Now on Steam at 50% Off

Both Dino Crisis 1 & 2’s original versions are now available on Steam with some optimizations. There is a 50% launch discount, which brings the price of each game down to $5. However, the discount is only available till February 26.

The first part has received an improved DirectX game renderer, new rendering options, increased rendering resolutions to ~4K (1920p), 32-bit color depth, improved geometry calculation, more stable transformations, texturing, alpha transparency, and game registry settings. It also features Issue-free animation, video, and music playback, as well as saving, along with support for modern controllers.

Dino Crisis 2 features its own set of upgrades, including full compatibility with Windows 10 and Windows 11, 2 localizations, easy difficulty (Dino Colosseum and Dino Duel), and all the other improvements mentioned for the previous game. The sequel also features a Display Mode, Presentation, Aspect Ratio Correction, Scaling Method, Vertical Synchronization, Gamma Correction, Anisotropic filtering, and Antialiasing as graphics settings.

In other news, God of War: Sons of Sparta has been shadowdropped. Additionally, the release date for Metal Gear Solid Master Collection 2 was revealed yesterday.
