Believe it or not, they’ve sold even more copies of GTA 5.
In its latest quarterly earnings release, Take-Two Interactive revealed that Grand Theft Auto 5 has sold 225 million copies. This is an increase from its last report, which noted the game had sold up to 220 million copies.
Grand Theft Auto 5 has been available since 2013 and has been released across three console generations and PC.
Financial News Regarding the Impact of Grand Theft Auto Online
In the earnings, they expect recurrent customer spending growth of 17% year over year, assuming Grand Theft Auto Online spending increases. Also, the RCS rose 23% in the quarter overall, with Grand Theft Auto Online rising 27% alone. Grand Theft Auto Online continues to put out new content regularly. However, all eyes remain on the impending release of Grand Theft Auto 6.
GTA 6 is slated to release in November 2026. Take-Two Interactive reaffirmed the release date in its latest quarterly earnings filing. While waiting for GTA 6, a recent rumor that the game would not receive a physical release has been debunked.
