Plans to bring Borderlands 4 to the Nintendo Switch 2 are currently on pause.
Take-Two Interactive is pausing development of Borderlands 4 for Nintendo Switch 2, as stated in its most recent quarterly earnings on Tuesday, February 3.
A spokesperson told Variety that it was a difficult decision to pause development of a Nintendo Switch 2 release for Borderlands 4. However, they say they remain committed to delivering high-quality post-launch content and to working closely with Nintendo to release additional projects on the platform.
“We’re continuing to collaborate closely with our friends at Nintendo. We have ‘PGA Tour 2K25’ coming out and ‘WWE 2K26’ [for Switch 2], and we’re incredibly excited about bringing more of our titles to that platform in the future,” said spokesperson Alan Lewis.
