Netflix’s CEO has stated that he and the new Microsoft Gaming CEO have discussed bundling the OTT platform’s subscription with Game Pass.
A report from earlier this year had stated that Microsoft was experimenting with bundling additional third-party services with Game Pass subscriptions. However, this change was not expected to arrive in 2026, and it seems Netflix and Xbox may have discussed how they would proceed.
Xbox Game Pass and Netflix Bundle Shouldn’t Be Ruled Out
According to a report by The Information (via GameSpot), Netflix co-CEO Greg Peters recently discussed the potential for a bundle that combines Netflix and Xbox Game Pass subscriptions. Peters and the new CEO, Asha Sharma, have already “kicked around ideas” about merging the two services into a single purchase. While nothing has been confirmed yet, Peters mentioned that people shouldn’t “eliminate any possibilities.”
Peters elaborated on his statement by explaining that the bundle must benefit both consumers and the companies involved. He mentioned that “Microsoft’s still trying to figure out how to make the Game Pass bundle work for Microsoft.” He also expressed his appreciation for Sharma’s approach, saying, “It’s all about, ‘How do we do more?’ And it’s already been exciting to watch.”
In other news, the new CEO could also be working on bringing ‘lower-priced tiers’ to Xbox Game Pass to make it “more enticing”. Additionally, here are all the games added to Game Pass in Wave 1 and Wave 2 for March 2026, including Resident Evil 7, Cyberpunk 2077, and more.
