A reliable source has confirmed that a new PlayStation State of Play event is scheduled for February 2026.
Xbox’s Developer Direct was a massive hit, providing information on their most anticipated titles; now, it’s time for PlayStation to answer. The last State of Play event we received was in November 2025, but that was exclusive to games being developed in Japan and Asia. The last major State of Play was back in September 2025.
New State of Play Event Reportedly Coming Next Month
A reliable source, NateTheHate, confirmed a new PlayStation State of Play event for February 2026 on X (formerly Twitter). He provided confirmation in response to a user’s post on X, discussing whether Nate’s source confused Red Dead Redemption 2’s next-gen update with RDR1. However, Nate provided no other details, such as the announcement or release dates or which games could be included, only that a SoP event is scheduled for February.
UPDATE: According to Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb, the State of Play will reportedly take placet the week of February 12. NateTheHate has also mentioned the 12th as a date.
What to Expect from the Upcoming State of Play February 2026 Event?

However, players could expect new information about their first-party games, such as Marvel’s Wolverine, Marathon, Saros, and more. If we are lucky, we might also get more information about rumoured games such as the God of War title or maybe something in the Marvel’s Spider-Man universe.
