How To Make Light Leather In Hytale—Crafting Recipe & Ingredients, Explained

During your Hytale days, you’re going to collect an outrageous amount of resources and make an incredible number of Tools, Houses, and more. One thing you won’t find lying around on the floor is Light Leather, but crafting it isn’t too difficult in Hytale.

From Copper to Tree Sap, you need to be an expert at item management and eventually know what everything does, so you can be frugal with your inventory space. Light Leather is yet another resource to manage, but it’s not entirely obvious where to find it.

The only way to get Light Leather in Hytale is by crafting it yourself.

If you’ve been running around like a headless chicken and actually cutting down chickens, pigs, and various other animals, all the while laying waste to every environmental material you come across, you’ll realise that Light Leather doesn’t drop naturally.

It’s a non-natural resource, which means you’ve got to channel your inner Artisan skills and make it yourself.

How To Craft Light Leather In Hytale

Light Leather is made by finding Light Hide and using a Tanning Rack to create the material.

Hytale is a survival game, so you know there’s going to be tomfoolery when it comes to crafting. You need X to craft Y, and then you take Y and add a splash of Z, and so on. But the recipe for Light Leather isn’t too bad, and here’s how you do it:

  1. Load into a Hytale World.
  2. Get yourself some Light Hide.
  3. Now, you need to build a Workbench.
  4. This requires 4x Any Tree Trunk and 4x Any Stone.
  5. Craft it.
  6. Interact with the Workbench and go to Crafting.
  7. Select Tanning Rack: You need 6x Any Tree Trunk, 3x Any Stone, and 3x Any Light Hide to build one.
  8. You can finally use Light Hide on the Tanning Rack.
  9. Wait a few seconds, and you’ll have some Light Leather once it’s made.
