Fighting AI skeletons and wildlife can be tricky, but nothing compares to coming head-to-head with a real-life avatar. Hytale offers PvP multiplayer, and this guide shows you how to enable it.
Player versus player is so different from a player versus environment world. AI can be clever, but there’s something fundamentally terrifying about facing another human like yourself. Hytale‘s world is gorgeous and a joy to listen to and behold, but PvP has you looking over your shoulder while you’re hacking away to collect more wood.
If you want to throw down in PvP on Hytale, this guide has simple steps to do so.
How To Turn PvP On In Hytale
You need to enable PvP when creating a world in Hytale using the game’s settings to tick the PvP box.
Check out these instructions, which should help you to do this ASAP. This is how to enable PvP in a new world:
- Go to Hytale’s main menu screen.
- Choose Worlds.
- Select Create World.
- Pick the tiny Cog icon found between World Name and Create World.
- On the Settings screen, go down to the PvP box.
- Click it so that a tick appears in the box.
- Confirm with Apply Settings.
- Finally, choose Create World.
If you have an existing Hytale world and want to add PvP to it, it requires a simple tweak to do this:
- Head to the Hytale main menu.
- Click on Worlds.
- Right-click on an existing world.
- Repeat steps 5-8 from above.
- PvP will now be enabled.
Make sure you know what you’ve gotten yourself into if you do this. People can be nice, or, as Christmas has taught us, players can also be naughty! Make sure you’re armed to the teeth, ready for PvP combat.
How Many Players Can Be On The Same Server In Hytale?
Hytale’s initial server capacity for a World is 100 players, but this could be increased or decreased in the future.
There’s going to be a huge effort to incorporate as many players as possible in one Hytale world—which also means a lot of danger, potentially.
