How to Get Mega Zeraora in Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension

Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dimension DLC has plenty of secrets hidden away, and obtaining Mega Zeraora is one of the toughest mysteries in the game to crack, but it’s now been uncovered.

While Mega Zeraora was one of the first new Mega Evolution Pokémon revealed for the DLC, it actually plays no direct part in the main story, and is instead locked behind the endgame. Even then, finding this Mythical Pokémon won’t be easy.

If you’re searching high and low for Zeraora with no luck, Insider Gaming has all the details you need.

The process of locating Mega Zeraora in Pokémon Legends: Z-A is quite complex and requires various steps, culminating in one of the toughest boss battles in the game.

After completing the main story of the Mega Dimension DLC and facing off against the likes of Rayquaza, head to Racine Construction and speak to Terragon to purchase Canari Bread. Then, head to Vert Sector 3 and speak to the child waiting nearby to trade the Canari Bread for Popping Candy. The exact location is shown on the image above.

With the Popping Candy in hand, return to Ansha at Hotel Z to craft the special donut required. Below is the recipe to follow, thanks to MonkeyKingHero on YouTube.

  • 3x Hyper Roseli Berry
  • 3x Hyper Babiri Berry
  • 1x Hyper Citrus Berry
  • 1x Hyper Haban Berry

With the Plasma Glazed Donut now in hand, the portal for Zeraora can be accessed. This is directly opposite Gare de Lumiose, which you can fast travel to, or fast travel to the Vert Pokémon Center.

The hard work is far from done, however, as you must now defeat Rogue Mega Zeraora and, unlike other Rogue Mega Evolution battles, you cannot continue with your existing progress if defeated and must restart entirely.

How to Beat Rogue Mega Zeraora in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Mega Zeraora is a pure Electric-type Pokémon, and is therefore weak to Ground attacks, making the likes of Zygarde extremely useful in battle.

While Mega Zeraora is not immune to any types of damage, it resists Electric, Flying, and Steel, with all other attacks doing normal damage. Remember, however, that your Flying and Water-type Pokémon will be weak against Mega Zeraora, so don’t rely on them in battle.

As well as Zygarde, other decent options are other Ground-type Pokémon with Mega Evolution available, including Camerupt, Excadrill, Garchomp, Steelix, and Golurk, just remember to have Ground attacks equipped where possible.
