They say that nothing good in life is free. For once, this is wrong. Battlefield 6 is having a free weekend, allowing you to enjoy the shooter with a free trial. This guide has dates, details, and destruction galore.
If a Battlefield 6 free weekend sounds good, you’re in the right place. EA is generally allowing all players the chance to experience the game the company has called ‘the best-selling shooter of the year’.
If you’re keen to try out the Battlefield 6 Season 1 content, find out how you can do so without sacrificing a single penny or cent.
Battlefield 6 Season 1 Free Trial Dates & Times

You can play the Battlefield 6 Season 1 free trial from November 25 at 4 AM PT to December 2 at 4 AM PT.
It’s a full week-long free trial. It’s a very reasonable promotion, and the only thing you need to bring to the party is enough storage space on your hardware and a stable internet connection.
This is likely smart counter-marketing, as this means the free trial is starting and ending just before Black Ops 7 Season 1. There’s already a huge divide in player count numbers between Battlefield 6 and Black Ops 7, but this is a good chance to see which FPS title you prefer.
Also, this free weekend could tempt non-owners into getting BF 6 for Christmas. Insider Gaming has the cheapest way to buy Battlefield 6 to enjoy this Holiday season, too, for Xbox Series X|S and also on PC.
What You Can Play In Battlefield 6 Free Weekend
Battlefield 6’s free trial weekend doesn’t offer all the game’s content, but it does include online multiplayer features, such as maps—including new Season 1 maps—and a few handpicked playlist options.
Here’s EA’s official comments on the free trial:
“This Free Trial includes three playlists, including a casual Multiplayer experience, across three maps, including the two most recently released maps Eastwood and Blackwell Fields. To access the Free Trial, simply download the free-to-play Battlefield: REDSEC experience on your preferred gaming platform.”
Whereas Black Ops 7 went all in on its free trial in an effort to tempt players, Battlefield 6 is doing very well on its own. Still, there’s plenty to enjoy for free, and it’s likely to win over non-believers and even convert CoD loyalists.
