Battlefield 6 has already been doing bits in the gaming space since being released on October 10, and now, players are getting ready to jump head-over-heels into the game’s first season. The opening season is set to introduce killer new maps, a battle royale, and new modes and weapons, but when does Battlefield 6 Season 1 start?
The confirmed launch times for Battlefield 6 Season 1 are below, and the great news is, you don’t have long to wait. If you’re chomping at the bit to experience all that the ‘Battlefield 6 battle royale update’ has to offer, you’ll be able to enjoy it very soon.
Battlefield 6 Season 1 Release Time
Battlefield 6 Season 1 will begin on October 28 at 15:00 UTC. This will be when the content is available, but the download will be ready to install from 09:00 UTC.
The release timings were confirmed by Electronic Arts in a blog post that was twinned with patch notes for the 1.1.1.0 update.

What is Coming in Battlefield 6 Season 1?
Battlefield 6 Season 1 welcomes the new battle royale mode, plus two major maps and stacks of additional content.
Blackwell Fields (October 28) and Eastwood (November 18) are the new maps coming to Battlefield 6, and they’re both set in the United States. The new game modes are Strikepoint and Payload Rush, the latter of which arrives with the Winter Offensive LTM (Limited-Time Mode) on December 9th and introduces Ice Lock Empire State.
In terms of new equipment, players can expect these new weapons in Battlefield 6 Season 1:
- SOR-300SC Carbine
- GGH-22 Pistol
- Mini Scout Sniper Rifle
- DB-12 Shotgun
- M357 Trait Pistol
- Ice Climbing Axe (Melee)
And new attachments, including rail covers and LPVO (rifle optics) devices.
The original Battle Pass system coming to Battlefield 6 with Season 1 has four progression paths built around the game’s class model: Assault, Recon, Engineer, and Support.
There will be both free and premium pathways that will lead to various rewards:
- Weapon blueprints
- Specialist skins
- Parachute camos
- Charms and patches
Additionally, a new vehicle is coming with Season 1 of Battlefield 6:
- APC Traverser Mark 2
Players wanting new modes will be able to enjoy Strikepoint (small-team tactical), Sabotage (site destruction), and Ice Lock (Winter Offensive LTM).
And, of course, Battlefield 6 Season 1 also brings about the long-awaited Battle Royale mode, which is free to play and has officially been named RedSec. It’s not related to Watch Dogs’ DedSec, don’t worry!
