Battlefield: REDSEC arrives in Battlefield 6, and the latest vision of battle royale features destruction, tense moments, and everything you’ve come to love from the BF franchise. RedSec might be a new name, but let’s check out its release date and start time.
It’s getting to that stage now where Battlefield 6 has been out for a few weeks. You’ve all had ample time to gobble up the campaign and get your online journeys underway. The next natural step is Battlefield 6 Battle Royale, AKA Battlefield: REDSEC.
It’s finally time to enter the cut-throat world of Battlefield: REDSEC’s battle royale and see how it can deliver a unique BR experience versus its rivals.
Battlefield: REDSEC Release Date

Battlefield 6’s BR date is October 28, meaning you need to try and level up your guns and gear up as quickly as possible in preparation.
Insider Gaming first reported that Battlefield 6’s Battle Royale would release on October 28. This was pretty much set in stone, and then a datamine revealed the BR was set to release on October 28—which means everything all lines up so far!
We then got a bonus when ModernWarzone dropped a hot exclusive that Battlefield 6’s BR mode would be called Battlefield: REDSEC. Now, we’ve had official confirmation that REDSEC drops on October 28, and it coincides with Season 1.
Battlefield 6 BR Start Time—Shadow Drop, Explained

Battlefield: REDSEC officially launches at 8:00 PT or 15:00 UTC worldwide, and the news comes directly from Battlefield and EA.
It was looking like REDSEC was going to be a random shadow drop. October 28 was essentially a given, but the exact start time was a mystery. We projected a 9 PM or 10 PM PT window, but the Battlefield X account shocked everyone by going early with the announcement information.
“Eyes up. Plates on. #REDSEC arrives tomorrow at 8:00 PT / 15:00 UTC,” said the message.
This is perfect, as you can all now start getting those excuses ready for work and school, and make sure you’ve got the supplies you need before you drop into REDSEC!
If you can’t play right away, but you do have some time, the Battlefield YouTube channel is dropping an official gameplay video to get everyone hyped—if you weren’t already for new Battlefield battle royale.
The word ‘shadow drop’ doesn’t hold as much gravitas as it once did. Leaks have made it so that even shadow drops are known ahead of time—just look at the Oblivion Remastered shadow drop as evidence. But we don’t need to hang around on the 28th, waiting to see when EA will surprise us.
Will you be dropping into REDSEC as soon as it drops and you get it installed? Do you think it can get anywhere near Call of Duty’s legendary Warzone BR? Let us know in the comments and through the Insider Gaming Discord.
