Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has surpassed 5 million copies sold, and the devs are celebrating this milestone with a big content update.
Sandfall Interactive is Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has won the hearts of players worldwide, becoming one of the highest-rated games of 2025 and a strong contender for Game of the Year. The game director also recently stated that Clair Obscur “is the franchise name” and Expedition 33 is definitely not the end of the franchise. Now, they have announced new content for Expedition 33, following their latest sales milestone.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Will Get a New Playable Environment, New Enemies, And More
Sandfall Interactive is working on a massive new content update for all platforms that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is available on. This update introduces a new playable environment, taking the game’s characters on a journey to a brand-new location with fresh enemy encounters and more surprises and mysteries to unravel. Additionally, challenging new boss battles are arriving for late-game players to take on.
Moreover, players will be able to try out new costumes for each member of the Expedition. New text and UI game localizations into Czech, Ukrainian, Latin American Spanish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian will also be available, bringing the total number of supported languages to 19. The developers have also promised that there is “more to come”.
Interestingly, along with the game reaching 5 million units sold, the original soundtrack, composed by Lorien Testard, has now surpassed 333 million track streams since its release.
In other news, the developers of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 “will explore a Nintendo Switch 2 possibility. Additionally, Daredevil actor has promised to play the game.
