How to Get & Redeem Black Ops 7 Beta Codes—Open Beta Codes, Explained

Activision is giving the world its first global access to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, courtesy of the early access open beta and regular open beta. Getting hands-on with either of these tests is vital if you want to see what the new CoD is like and possibly contribute to making the game better.

Black Ops 7 is Call of Duty’s big hitter for 2025. It follows on from 2024’s Black Ops 6 and should feature all-new mechanics: Maybe a Wallhack weapon? Or the ‘new’ Combat Roll?

Whichever gadgets or weapons you fancy, you need access first. Black Ops 7 has an early access open beta, and the full open beta is arriving shortly after. We’ve got details on how to access both, get beta codes, and more.

You must have pre-ordered a physical copy of Black Ops 7 to receive an early access beta code. If you pre-ordered digitally, you’re automatically qualified and eligible for the early access beta. Watching COD Next was also another method to obtain a code.

Pre-ordering a physical Black Ops 7 edition and watching COD Next are the only ways to get a classic beta code. COD Next has now passed, and if you watched the broadcast on Twitch for one hour, you should have a code in your Twitch account.

If you fall into the physical pre-order category, here’s how the process works:

  1. Pre-order any physical edition of Black Ops 7.
  2. This can be done in a physical retailer or through an online pre-order.
  3. To find your beta code, either check your retail receipt for the code or read your email receipt from the retailer for a code.
  4. Activision recommends you “Please contact your retailer if you didn’t receive or can’t locate your code.”

Now that you have your code, it’s time to redeem it for Black Ops 7 beta access.

How to Redeem Black Ops 7 Beta Code

You must go to the Call of Duty beta redeem page, sign in, enter your code, and acquire your unique Black Ops 7 early access open beta token.

Again, let’s cut out the chatter and give you more specific steps to follow:

  1. Check your emails or store receipt for your Black Ops 7 early access open beta code.
  2. Head to the Call of Duty code redemption page.
  3. You will be required to sign in first—which may require 2FA, so be ready.
  4. Enter your beta code into the redemption box.
  5. Press the option to redeem the code.
  6. Now, choose which platform you want to play the Black Ops 7 early access open beta on.
  7. Monitor your emails for a Black Ops 7 beta token.
  8. Once you have it, you need to redeem it for your platform.

Black Ops 7 is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Battle.net and Steam. Each system has its own unique systems and processes.

Do You Need a Beta Code For Black Ops 7 Open Beta?

You do not need a beta code for the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 open beta—it’s available to everyone on all applicable platforms.

The early access open beta basically gives people who pre-ordered Black Ops 7 an extra week to play. It’s an obvious incentive to pre-order and commit to BLOPS 7 early.

If you’re not interested in doing so, simply wait for the Black Ops 7 open beta to commence on October 5, and you can download it from your platform’s storefront. You can play without the need to give Activision any money!

Are you looking forward to either the Black Ops 7 early access open beta or full open beta? If you do get a chance to play, post about it in the Insider Gaming forum and tell us what you think of it. Can it compete with Battlefield 6?

We also have news on Black Ops 7 having Weapon Prestige and the most Camos ever, and the shooter having no default Tac-Sprint, and refined Omnimovement.
