EA and DICE have released a new trailer for Battlefield 6’s Battlefield Portal, providing more details on what the mode entails.
For those familiar with Battlefield 2042, Battlefield Portal isn’t a new game coming to the Battlefield franchise, but Portal is an evolution of the game mode in a big way. The new trailer released shows that players can now create their own experiences and maps from the ground up, rather than being limited to presets like they were in Battlefield 2042.

More Battlefield Portal Details
In addition to the new Battlefield Portal trailer, several content creators were also giving more details and the opportunity to play the gamemode ahead of its October 10 release.
One of the major features of Battlefield Portal is that players, no matter what they play, will have the opportunity to earn XP. To get around XP boosting, modes with the ‘Verified Creator’ badge will offer full XP to players, but ‘Custom’ modes will offer a limited amount of XP based on the amount of time played in that mode.
So no matter how long you play, you will earn XP in Battlefield Portal.
Content Creator Westie has a fairly comprehensive breakdown of what to expect with the game, so you can watch his video below with some Battlefield 6 Portal gameplay:
Battlefield 6 launches on the Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 5, and PC on October 10, 2025.
