A known leaker claims to know when Bethesda is looking to finally release The Elder Scrolls 6 to players. In his latest video, leaker eXtas1s spoke about Bethesda’s upcoming game and when the company is looking to launch.
Extas1s (timestamped video below) claims that the studio is targeting a “late 2027” release window for The Elder Scrolls 6. While he doesn’t provide internal evidence to support his claim, he does say that the information he’s collected would lead him to “logically” believe the game will launch by then.
The Elder Scrolls 6 was first publicly announced in June 2018. Seven years later, Bethesda has been quiet on the game’s development while releasing titles such as Fallout 76 and Starfield. They are also still working on new DLC for Starfield, with teases appearing recently around the game’s anniversary.
As with any rumor, please take this information with a grain of salt until confirmed by Microsoft and Bethesda or independently verified by Insider Gaming. Though the source has been accurate in the past with various claims, things can, and usually do, change.
Speaking of rumors, if The Elder Scrolls 6 does, in fact, launch in late 2027, there will certainly be talk about whether it’s a launch title for the next-generation Xbox console. The latest reports suggest that the new systems are in full production, and planned for a 2027 release.

If it’s late 2027 my money would be on November 11th.
I think that sounds about right given the time frame of when the game went into full development. I do hope it’s a next gen release. I play on PC, but it would be nice to see Bethesda return to the days where they were more ambitious with their tech as with Morrowind and Oblivion at release. They need to make major strides with the way npcs and creatures look and animate. If they look like a slightly updated Starfield, people are going to savage them.
