Developer Supergiant Games has proudly announced the complete 1.0 launch of Hades 2 with a digital release date to begin with, and a physical edition arriving a couple of months later.
The September 12 Nintendo Direct was a big one. It dedicated a large portion of its time to Mario’s 40th anniversary, but a bombshell announcement was dropped into the middle of the action—the long-awaited Hades 2 release date.
Hades 2 Release Date Set For September 25, Physical Release Comes Later

Hades 2 launches digitally first on September 25, and a widespread physical launch arrives down the line on November 20. You’ll have to weigh up a serious dilemma: Do you get it immediately, digitally? Or can you hang on for another two months while the world around you tries to take down Chronos?
We learned back in April that Hades 2 was launching as a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive first. It’s only fitting that one of Nintendo’s biggest-ever Direct showcases featured the release date for the roguelike sequel.
The new trailer shows off even more gameplay and all the innovations, looking to make sure the follow-up can hold a Supergiant-sized candle to the first game—see what we did there?
