How to Complete Rite of the Pollip Wish in Hollow Knight: Silksong—All Pollip Locations Explained

The pollip locations in Hollow Knight: Silksong are pretty hidden all around Shellwood, with various obstacles and enemies in the way.

An old creature named Greyroot is tasking you with collecting six of the purple items, so that they can commence what they call the “first rite.” Whatever that is supposed to mean, use your trusty wall jump and get to work finding those flowers.

Here are all of the pollip locations in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

To find Greyroot and start the Rite of the Pollip wish in Hollow Knight: Silksong, you will need to travel to a small room near the middle of Shellwood. While you don’t have to talk to Greyroot before you can start grabbing the pollips, that is where we will start our directions from.

First Pollip

The first pollip is outside and to the right of Greyroot’s home. Jump up the branches on the right until you can start using the walls to get to the top of this area with a pollip flower. Be sure to watch out for the two purple bugs that dive bomb on you.

From the previous spot, drop down and climb up to the entrance above the pollip you just grabbed. Move through the room to the right and wall jump up to the location on our map. Two more purple bugs are hanging around this pollip.

Work your way back to the room with the bench and jump up the wall, and go through the first door. You will be in a room filled with spikes. Walk to the ledge and look down to find a secret area that just needs you to destroy some vines to get into.

Go back to the bench room and make your way to the top left doorway in this area. This room, like many others in Hollow Knight: Silksong, requires pogoing to get to the pollip.

Luckily, the right side wall can be jumped up, so you don’t have to lose your mind with the white flowers. Leap from the right wall and hit the pollip flower on the left side.

Go out the left doorway, and you will be in the room with the shrine that gave you cling grip earlier in the game. Climb the right side and work over to the left, where there are some skull flowers next to spikes and a white flower. Look down and you will see a small room with the pollip inside.

Sixth Pollip

For the final pollip in Hollow Knight: Silksong, continue through this room and climb your way to the top of the Shellwood map. When you get to the room with the enemy from the Sister Splinter fight clinging to the wall, take them out and climb that area. Follow the path to the left and you’ll drop down into a room with spikes on the ceiling and the last pollip.

With all pollips in hand, make your way back to Greyroot and give them to her. They will burrow away for a little bit. While you get the confirmation that the quest is done, you haven’t gotten anything yet for your efforts.

Wait until they come back and speak with them again. Now, they will give you the Pollip Pouch. This blue tool will add a lingering poison damage to your tools when you throw them out in battle. Very handy for doing a little more damage over time without being up close to your enemy.

Did this guide help you find those pesky pollips? Let us know the tools you will use the Pollip Pouch with for the best damage dealing in the comments or on the Insider Gaming forum.

Now that you have this side quest done, are you going to travel to the Blasted Steps? Learn how to get there with this guide. Before you do that, though, make sure you have rung all of the old bells.
