A new Battlefield 6 gameplay leak video reveals that the mud buildup feature for weapons has returned in the upcoming title.
Battlefield 6’s open beta is long gone, and as we wait for new beta weekends to be announced, players have been satisfying themselves through information from leaks, rumours, and developer interviews. Recently, we saw Mirak Valley gameplay and a large US setting for Season 1. Now, we have learned about BF6’s mud buildup feature.
Battlefield 6 Brings Back Mud and Dirt Buildup
Spotted by GameRant, a new video on the r/Battlefield subreddit shows the mud and dirt buildup feature in action. It is a short clip that originated from Battlefield Labs, which shows the player taking on enemies while hiding under some ruins. Their weapon is completely covered in mud and dirt, as debris keeps falling on the player due to the enemy’s bullets. The OP has also posted a before-and-after image, which shows a once-clean weapon that got entirely covered with dirt and mud.
Battlefield 6 players will appreciate the return of mud buildup, which was removed from Battlefield 2042. Some players have suggested that the developers could have taken this one step further by making guns jam when they get completely covered in mud. In the comment section of the post, the OP has also confirmed that blood splatter becomes visible on guns when the player is shot in the battlefield.
In other news, Battlefield 6 developers have revealed how the Assault Ladder works in the game. Additionally, the developers have stated that a substantial number of players were playing at or around minimum specifications. What are your thoughts on Battlefield 6 bringing back mud buildup?
