Silent Hill 1 Remake Started Development 3 Years Ago, It’s Claimed

According to an insider, the Silent Hill 1 Remake started development 3 years ago and is expected to release in 2027. Townfall could come next year.

Details about the Silent Hill Remake are something that players have been waiting for for a very long time. Last month, we learned that a Silent Hill 1 Remake is indeed coming, and the Bloober Team, the studio behind the Silent Hill 2 Remake, is developing it. Now, an insider has revealed some new details about Silent Hill Remake’s development periods and speculated release plans.

Silent Hill 1 Remake May Release in 2027

The new details about Silent Hill Remake’s release window come from Aesthetic Gamer, also known as Dusk Golem. Dusk Golem’s recent post on X (formerly Twitter) states that as far as they know, the Silent Hill 1 remake “started dev around 3 years ago”. If they were to guess the release schedule, which is “subject to change at the whims of game dev”, as they have already delayed the original plan and switched Townfall and Silent Hill F’s release plans, this is how it looks like:

  • Silent Hill F will be their 2025 release
  • Silent Hill Townfall will release in 2026
  • 2027 has been reserved for the Silent Hill 1 Remake
  • Lastly, an internal Silent Hill game will be released

In other news, Silent Hill F and Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater are going to be a part of Gamescom 2025. Also, the opening gameplay scenes of Silent Hill F leaked online last month. What are your thoughts on Silent Hill 1 Remake starting development 3 years ago and releasing in 2027? Let us know through the official Insider Gaming forums discussion.
