Fortnite is reportedly working on a ‘6-player’ squad mode, allowing players to add even more friends to their party.
Fortnite is a game that has continually innovated and added new content for players since its release in 2017. Most recently, we saw the battle royale game revive a popular game mode, “Close Counters LTM“, and introduce “heroic gameplay” with the Superman update. Now, it seems they will be taking it a step further, allowing players to have even larger squads on the island.
Fortnite Might Soon Have Even Bigger Squads Jumping from the Battle Bus
The information about Fortnite’s new 6-player squad mode comes from a reliable leaker, ShiinaBR. However, their post on X (formerly Twitter) only mentions a Fortnite update that seems to be working on this new mode; no other details were provided, such as whether it will be a limited-time or permanent mode, or when we can expect it. Additionally, as this information does not come from an official source, players should approach it with caution.
Fortnite adding a 6-player squad mode could be a great addition for players with larger social circles. For Fortnite’s battle royale mode, players are limited to 4-person squads. With larger squads, we might even get larger lobbies and possibly a new map to accommodate all the players. Regardless, it is all just speculation at this point; we must wait for official confirmation to know for sure.
