Fortnite’s Superman Crossover Will Introduce ‘Heroic Gameplay’

Superman will officially arrive in Fortnite on July 11, with new Heroic abilities, POIs and much more.

Wield the Man of Steel’s Powers with Fortnite x Superman

From July 11 at 9 AM ET, players will get to access Superman’s powers in Fortnite. A new ‘Superman’s Call’ crystal can spawn at any time during Battle Royale and Zero Build matches, and the first players to find it can become the Man of Steel. You will have the ability to fly through the air, melt structures with your heat vision and of course, superhuman strength. Also, gaining these abilities will put a target on your back, and once players take you down, you revert to your normal self.

Fortnite Superman

Fortnite x Superman POI, Weapons, Boon and More

That’s not all, Fortnite x Superman will bring the Fortress of Solitude to the island on July 15, where you can find the hero offering services in exchange for bars. Regarding weapons, players will be able to purchase the Exotic Unstable Bounce Grenade and the Exotic Unstable Thunderclap DMR. A new boon called Surging Speed has also been added, which allows players to sprint faster while consuming less energy.

Regarding cosmetics, there’s a boatload of stuff for players to check out. First and Foremost is the Superman Outfit, which can be unlocked by earning 12 Account Levels in the Super Battle Pass. The Last Son of Krypton also comes with matching accessories, including Daily Flight Glider, Super Cape Back Bling, Crystal Smasher Pickaxe, Super Save Emote, and more. The fun doesn’t stop at Superman, as Fortnite is also introducing the Mister Terrific Outfit and The Engineer (DC) Outfit.

In other news, Fortnite Blitz Royale is receiving a new map. Additionally, Call of Duty may receive a similar visual footstep audio indicator to Fortnite. What are your thoughts on Fortnite’s Superman crossover? Let us know through the official Insider Gaming forums discussion.
