Killing Floor 3 developer Tripwire Interactive is doing everything it can to ensure the newest shooter experiences a good launch, and is trying to actualize this through delays to make sure the game is ready, and more tests for extra feedback. The recent Killing Floor 3 NDA confusion didn’t go down well in the community, though, but this seems to have been rectified.
We reported on a Killing Floor 3 Stress test requiring players to sign a five-year NDA not far from launch. It was a strange notice. Not showing footage for a game out so soon was one thing, but not being able to discuss or stream the game for several years? It left players confused, angry, and questioning the game’s future.
However, Tripwire Interactive has cleared up the controversy—and I can tell you it’s good news.
Killing Floor 3 NDA Removed: “We Sincerely Apologize For Confusion”

A July 15 post on the Killing Floor 3 forum came directly from the devs.
It explained about the July 16 Stress Test and when it could be played. However, the majority of the post was dedicated to one section: “Regarding the Stress Test NDA.”
They explained that they can’t remove the NDA message, but it no longer applies.
“We sincerely apologize for confusion around our NDA. 5 years is our standard boilerplate language for internal tests and was too heavy handed for this context. It was never our intention to enforce a 5-year ban on discussing the game. It didn’t take long after the build went live to realize that this was the wrong approach, and within the first hour of the stress test we pivoted away from enforcing the NDA.”
You can head to YouTube now to catch a ton of footage from the latest Stress Test. Let us know your thoughts via the Insider Gaming forum on what it looks like, how you think it compares to the pre-delay gameplay, and if KF3 can reach the success of Killing Floor 2.
Insider Gaming has much more news, including Fortnite reportedly working on a ‘6-Player’ Squad Mode, and EA FC no longer selling lootboxes in South Korea.
