Link and Zelda Actors Revealed For The Legend of Zelda Movie

Nintendo has unveiled the lead actors set to play Link and Zelda in the upcoming Legend of Zelda live-action adaptation. In a post on social media, Shigeru Miyamoto made the announcement, touching on the movie’s release date and sharing the news with fans worldwide.

Many have already praised the casting.

In the post on social media, Miyamoto confirmed that Zelda will be played by Bo Bragason, while Link will be portrayed by Benjamin Evan Ainsworth.

Here’s what Miyamoto said on social media:

This is Miyamoto. The live-action “The Legend of Zelda” movie will feature Bo Bragason as Zelda and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link. I’m already looking forward to their performances. The live-action “The Legend of Zelda” movie is scheduled for theatrical release on May 7, 2027. Please wait just a little longer.

I am very much looking forward to seeing both of them on the big screen.

Bo Bragason, who will take on the role of Zelda, has appeared in minor productions to date, having entered the performing scene in 2017. Benjamin Evan Ainsworth most recently appeared alongside Bryan Cranston in Everything’s Going to Be Great, and had a run on Son of a Critch lasting 52 episodes.

The comments from fans were positive, with one user writing, ‘They look amazing. I’m so happy you guys cast original and young actors. I can’t wait.’

In June, Nintendo delayed the Legend of Zelda movie, pushing it back to May 7. This date is being stuck to, per the latest update from Shigeru Miyamoto.
