After 13 years, Rockstar Games Social Club has been shut down.
Rockstar Games has been in the news recently. Rob Wiethoff, the voice of Red Dead Redemption’s John Marston, teased “exciting news,” but later backed away from the statement, admitting to having “misled” fans. Fans had hoped it would be an announcement regarding a 60 FPS update and Switch 2 port for Red Dead Redemption 2.
Meanwhile, a firm predicted that GTA 6 will be the greatest video game release of all time, generating $7.6 billion in revenue within the first 60 Days of its launch. Ahead of the highly anticipated launch of GTA 6, Rockstar Games scrapped one of its longest-running programs.
Rockstar Games Social Club Comes to an End

Rockstar Games insider, Videotechuk, reported that the Rockstar Games Social Club has come to an end. The URL for the website redirects to the home page.
Rockstar Games Social Club served as a central hub for Rockstar Games titles, allowing members to connect, track their progress, and access exclusive content.
“Currently viewing profiles, walls, photos, videos viewing from users are gone, but could be part of new plans to introduce a new platform,” Videotechuk said.
Some features included joining and creating Crews in Grand Theft Auto, creating and sharing custom content such as GTA races and missions, and accessing the GTA Online stock market.
While novel, the service didn’t age well, and users reported serious issues while using it.
“Social Club was incredibly outdated, with more cases of crews being hijacked and accounts being targeted easily,” Videotechuk continued. “They’re most likely finally working on a new platform ready for GTAVI.”
