Ubisoft has revealed an incoming collaboration between Borderlands and Rainbow Six Siege. The crossover, which seems to be centered around a skin pack based on an undisclosed Operator, comes mere weeks before the launch of Borderlands 4, the first numbered release in the series since 2019.
The tease for the full reveal was met with a mixed response on social media.
‘Who Asked For This?’
It’s tough keeping gamers happy, and that’s evident when looking at the comments posted in response to Ubisoft’s tease for the Borderlands x Rainbow Six collaboration.
In a ten-second clip uploaded to social media, Ubisoft teased the imminent arrival of a Psycho skin in Rainbow Six Siege, but neglected to let players know which Operator would be taking on the fresh persona.
July 15. Chaos crashes. Stay tuned 💥
Despite not being fully revealed, it has been claimed that the Operator taking on the skin will be Mozzie. This is based on a purported leak that surfaced on Reddit recently, showing Mozzie in the Psycho skin, which was reportedly the work of ‘hackers’.
The response to the tease was less than enthusiastic, with many fans of the franchise bagging on the reveal. One user wrote, ‘I’m trying my hardest not to hate rn but I can’t even play ranked and you want me to be happy about a Borderlands collab.’
Another said, ‘Stoked we got more skins to lose games in due to cheaters, should be fun.’ Sticking to the same vibe, one user wrote, ‘More skins. More money. More cheaters. Nothing done.’
The more middle-of-the-road responses weren’t much better: ‘Pretty cool but please fix the game.’
The full reveal of the Borderlands x Rainbow Six Siege collab will take place on July 15.
