Dune Awakening’s developers have apologised for the mishap in the new patch and have promised to reimburse the lost items.
Dune Awakening recently released a new patch, which transformed some PvE areas into a PvP zone. This change resulted in a massive issue for players, with many losing their bases, equipment, and vehicles. Funcom has apologised for the oversight and has also changed their internal process so that these issues don’t occur in the future.
Dune Awakening Devs Reveal Next Plans
Funcom has also informed players that they are working to reimburse the vehicles and items that were lost during the latest Dune Awakening patch. These reimbursed items, materials and vehicle components will be found through the ‘Claim Rewards’ tab in the game by the end of this week.
The developers have also reviewed their plans for future updates, focusing on third-party cheat engines, client hacks, and in-game exploitation of game mechanics. Additionally, they will ensure that the game is enhanced with new quality-of-life features and by resolving critical gameplay issues.
Regarding the items lost in the new Dune Awakening update, the developers revealed that reimbursement can be challenging, as items were lost due to game mechanics, making it difficult for them to distinguish between items lost through bugs. At the same time, a backlog of customer support tickets exists, and Funcom has asked players to be patient as they work to resolve them as soon as possible.
