Battlestate Games has revealed the final notch of criteria for the upcoming hardcore wipe, due to drop this month. In a post on social media, the team confirmed that bosses will spawn at a rate of 100% on all maps. Not only that, but their AI difficulty ratings will be increased, and you’ll get fewer experience points for killing them.
Hey, you wanted a hardcore wipe.
Talk About Tough
In the third and final post regarding the impending hardcore wipe in Tarkov, Battlestate Games unveiled the last four components of the new ruleset, which doesn’t yet have a release date.
Here’s what’s coming:
- 100% boss spawn chance on all locations
- Reduced experience for killing enemies and dying
- Increased experience for surviving
- Increased AI difficulty
It was revealed in recent days that other elements, such as reduced high-value loot pools, restricted access to maps beyond transitions, and limited trader access, will also be included in the hardcore wipe.
It’s expected that this will be the final Escape from Tarkov wipe before the game hits 1.0 and launches in full. No dates for the wipe or the full release of the game have been confirmed, but it’s closer now than ever before.
Fortunately, those playing PvE are expected to have a reprieve from the hardcore wipe, as one of the fundamental features of the PvE mode is that it doesn’t force you to wipe. If you want that higher challenge, you’ll want to be jumping into PvP Tarkov when the next wipe hits.
