Can You Play Phasmophobia Available on Xbox Game Pass?
Phasmophobia is not available on Xbox Game Pass.
Kinetic Games initially launched Phasmophobia in 2020 on PC as an early access game. A console version was scheduled to launch in August 2023 but was delayed until October due to an office fire.
When October rolled around, the development team once again delayed the console version due to needing to rework the Maple Lodge campsite. This time around, Kinetic Games didn’t provide a new release date.
One year later, in October 2024, the game finally launched on Xbox, but it was not added to Game Pass.
Will Phasmophobia Come to Xbox Game Pass?
In November 2024, Kinetic Games confirmed, “Phasmophobia is not joining the Game Pass Catalog.”
Usually, studios announce that their game will be available on Game Pass before the official date. So, there is always a chance that Phasmophobia gets added to the subscription service once it leaves Early Access, but Kinetic Games hasn’t revealed any plans to do so.
However, there is a Free Trial version of the game available for Xbox users, and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers do get one benefit for owning Phasmophobia.
How to Stream Phasmophobia on Xbox Cloud Gaming
Kinetic Games partnered with Microsoft to bring Phasmophobia to Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Xbox Cloud Gaming allows Game Pass Ultimate members to stream games through supported devices like smartphones, PCs, and tablets.
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to take advantage of the service.
- On your PC, Phone, tablet, or supported handheld device, go to the Xbox Cloud Gaming website.
- Sign in to your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership.
- Find the game you want to stream in the library.
- Connect a supported controller and start playing.
If you are on a TV away from your console, you can also download and launch the Xbox app on a Samsung TV or an Amazon Fire device and follow the same steps as above.
