How to Record Video in Phasmophobia, Explained

Capturing evidence is vital to completing Investigations in Phasmophobia, which is where the ability to record video comes in handy.

Introduced in Phasmophobia’s Chronicle update on June 24, videos are one of three media types that are collected in an Investigation alongside photos and sounds.

Previously, Video Cameras in Phasmophobia were only really useful for finding Ghost Orbs, but now they are a crucial tool for solving paranormal activities. We’ve got everything you need to know here.

To record video, make sure to bring a Video Camera with you on your Investigation. This is a standard piece of equipment and should automatically be in your van for any Investigation, but you can bring more than one to help.

  • Ghost triggering Crucifix
  • Ghost Orbs
  • Thrown Objects
  • Doors being moved
  • Ghosts interacting with objects
  • Shattering light source
  • Blowing out a candle or fire
  • Disturbed salt

A total of five Videos can be captured per Investigation. A maximum of three pieces of media can be deleted during an Investigation.

How to Delete Video in Phasmophobia

If you record a piece of video evidence that is not unique and you want to delete it, open the Journal and scroll to the Media page. In the Video section, find the dustbin button in the top-left corner of the clip.

Remember, you can only delete a maximum of three pieces total during an Investigation across video, photos, and sounds. Be selective when you record video to reduce the likelihood of
