Does Peak Have Crossplay? Cross-Platform Status Explained

Peak has achieved quick success upon release, attracting a staggering number of players, and if you’re wondering if the title offers crossplay, we’ve got the answer.

Released on June 16, Peak has attracted over one million players in its first six days, demonstrating its success, and thousands more players continue to flock to the title daily.

Crossplay is a crucial feature for multiplayer titles in modern gaming, and we’ve got all the details you need on its status in Peak.

No, Peak does not offer crossplay as a feature for a basic reason—it is not available on any other platforms aside from Windows PC.

Given that crossplay is a feature that allows you to play with players on other platforms, there is no reason for it to be available in Peak while the title remains a Windows PC exclusive.

Instead, Peak’s multiplayer is limited to only being able to play with friends on Steam, with no matchmaking offered, though players are encouraged to use the game’s Discord to create parties.

The developer could change the multiplayer approach in a future patch, if there was a strong desire shown by the community, but there’s been no evidence to suggest this could be on the cards.

Will Peak Have Crossplay Added in the Future?

It is unlikely crossplay with ever come to Peak, as there are no plans to launch on other platforms or to provide further updates for the title.

In the official FAQs, Landfall stated that they “might decide to support more platforms” in the future, but the team does not “have any plans for Peak updates beyond this point.”

If Peak does come to additional platforms in the future, crossplay may be added to the title, while Xbox’s planned Aggregated Gaming Library could bring the title to the ROG Xbox Ally, but all we can do at this point is speculate.

For now, utilize the Discord to find players looking for a group, or enhoy the title in single-player if none of your friends have the game.
